Heya mate

Here is the answer ⤵⤵

⏪ Peristaltic movement is the contraction and relaxation of muscles of food pipe , also called oesophagus , which bring food down the pipe.

⏪ Peristaltic movement is important as it helps to push the food and bring it downwards.

⏪ If peristaltic movement will not occur through oesophagus, food will not be pushed downwards. As a result, digestive system will be affected and food will not be digested in the body.
