I don't know about potato cell but if we put a potato in vinegar then the cell sap of potato is hypotonic to the vinegar. There is a net movement of water out from the vacuole to the exterior. There is no pressure exerted against the cell wall. The cells of the potato become plasmolysed and the potato become flaccid. The size of the potato will decreases.
