What happens when quick lime reacts with water ? Is this reaction exothermic or endothermic? ​

Answer: Exothermic reaction

The chemical formula of quicklime is CaO. So, the reaction is,

CaO+H2O→Ca(OH)2

The reaction releases heat and produces slaked lime (Ca(OH)2). We know the heat producing reactions are termed as exothermic reactions. So, reaction of water and quicklime is an example of exothermic reaction.
