what happens when ray strikes at sepration of 2 media

some part get reflected and some part pass through it and some absorbed by medium
reflected part called reflected ray
passed part is called refracted ray

It passes normally without any deviation. 
 Angle of incidence = 0

sin i/sin r = refractive index,

therefore, sin r = 0 ( angle of incidence is always equal to angle of refraction)
