Silver chloride (AgCl) when kept in sunlight it gets decomposed into silver and chlorine . It turns grey in color .
Silver bromide also gets decomposed in the same way.Such reaction is called potato reaction .

When silver chloride(AgCl) is exposed to sunlight it get decomposed into silver and chlorine itself. This type of decomposition caused by the sunlight is called photolytic decomposition.
