This is a decomposition reaction which takes place in the presence of sunlight.

when silver chloride is exposed to sunlight it gets decompose into silver and chlorine gas and hence the following reactions takes place.

2AgCl(s) - - - -> 2Ag (S) +Cl2(g)

this reaction is mainly use in black and white photography
