silver halides include AgCl,AgBr and many more.if they are exposed to sunlight the go under decomposition reaction and gets split away into Ag and their corresponding halides.

Ag halides contains AgNo3,AgCl and many more. So when they are exposed to sunlight or radiation they decompose to give Ag and their respective halides. So that is why it is also the reason for storing Ag halides in dark coloured and protective bottles so that when sunlight falls on them, they don't get decomposed.
