What happens when slaked lime is added to the walls

There is a product which formed on the walls and that is Calcium carbonate by the reaction of slaked lime(calcium hydroxide) by carbon dioxide from the air. this is insoluble in water.
the name of reaction is- combination reaction.

⏺️Slaked lime ( Calcium Hydroxide) is used for whitewashing walls. It reacts slowly with carbon dioxide in air to form a thin layer of calcium carbonate on the walls.

⏺️ Calcium carbonate is formed after two to three days of whitewashing and gives a shiny finish to the walls.
