Na + HCO3 ----- Na2CO3 + H2O

when sodium reacts with nitric acid compounds ,sodium carbonate and water are produced . the reaction is extremely exothermic and this reaction is very fast

So yhe reaction of Na with HNO3 is.

Na + HNO3 - - - - - - > NaNO3 + Nh4NO3 + H20.
