Sulphur dioxide  gas changes acidifed Potassium Dichromate solution from orange to green.

Chemical reaction:

Sulphur dioxide reacts with acidified potassium Dichromate solution to give Chromium Sulphate , Poatssium sulphate and water.

3SO2(g) + K2Cr2O7(aq) +H2SO4(aq) ---------> Cr2(SO4)3 (aq) + K2SO4 (aq) +H2O(l)
