2NaOH + SO2-----------> Na2SO3 + H2O

sodium hydroxide is also known as the caustic soda ,this is usually a compound of sodium and hydrogen ,it is white in color with a ionic compound .this compound is made up of sodium that contributes the cations and the hydroxide ions as the anions .in this reaction sulphuric acid reacts with sodium hydroxide .this reaction is nutralization reaction as it involves an acid and a base .this reaction forms a salt and  sodium sulphate and water
