Hey!

When you bring two objects of different temperature together, energy will always be transferred from the hotter to the cooler object. The objects will exchange thermal energy, until thermal equilibrium is reached, i.e. until their temperatures are equal.

Hope this helps

When there is a temperature difference between two objects then heat will transfer from object with high temperature to low temperature.

Explanation:

  • Whenever there occurs difference in temperature of two objects and if they are placed adjacent to each other then there will occur transfer of heat from an object with high temperature to an object with low temperature.
  • For example, a metal spoon is placed in a cup of hot tea then there will occur transfer of heat from hot tea to metal spoon.
  • This process of transfer of heat is known as conduction. Transfer of heat can never takes place from an object with low temperature to an object with high temperature.
