What happens when two bullets of equal mass moving with the same velocities meet with each other?

Before the event (the collision), the momenta cancelled out and gave you zero, so the final momentum for both bullets should be zero. This means that when they collide, they both should just come to a halt. Now for the second case. The masses are same, gravity is off, but, velocities are different.
