when we add a pinch of salt in water and as water is a polar solvent the nacl(salt) gets disassociate d into ions and as we know that ions are the charged particles the conduct electricity

When we add a pinch of salt or lemon juice in distilled water, the water becomes able to conduct adequate amount of electricity.
• The distilled water which has almost negligible amount of impurities, cannot conduct any kind of electricity.
• But, when we add a pinch of salt or lemon juice, the added substances gets ionised into the water and those ions conduct the electricity through the water.
• In this way we can activate the electric conductivity of the distilled water.
