what happens when we add rectified spirit in distilled water​

as we know rectified acid is a highly concentrated ethanol . ethanol molecules are smaller than distilled water molecules so when two liquid are mixed together the ethanol fall between the spaces left by water.

Explanation:

It's similar to what happen when we mix a liter of sand and a liter of rocks
