what happens when we breathe?

the volume in the thoracic cavity increases
pressure inside thoracic cavity decreases and the air from outside rushes inside
exactly opposite happens when we breathe out

When we breathe we take in the most essential component Oxygen and give out waste product called Carbon dioxide
