Answer:-

Materials Required:-

  1. Wet Cloth
  2. Burner
  3. Grill
  4. Fuel

Process:-

  • Take a wet cloth.
  • Place it on a burner. (Note: It is very risky to have such activities. Adult Supervision required. Be assured that between the burner and the cloth a metal grill should be there.)
  • After some time, we will notice that the water particles present in the wet cloth, soon get turned into vapour (Vapourised).
  • The vapour moves up in the atmosphere.
  • Then, the wet cloth becomes dry and it burns. (Note: This is stage is very dangerous.)

Note: The burner should work only when fuel is provided to it.

Answer:

  • The heat which is supplied to burn a etc cloth first is consumed to evaporate the water in cloth for which the cloth remains unburnt.
  • then slowly the cloth reaches its ignition temperature and catches fire. thus the process of burning wet cloth is rather slow than to burn a dry cloth which catches fire very quickly.
