When we go left to right in a period:-
1) size decreases.
2) ionisation enthalpy increases.
3) electronegativity increases.
4) metallic character decreases.
electron gain enthalpy becomes more negative.

if we go left to right in periodic table the electron increase and this is caused by atomic radius . when we move left to right atoms become Smaller and Smaller
