EQUATION = C2H5OH + 3O2 ---- 2CO2 + 3H20 + HEAT

◆ It produces ethene

EQUATION = C2H5OH CONC.H2SO4 CH2 = CH2 + H2O

◆ Sodium ethoxide is formed.

EQUATION = CH3CH2OH + NA --- CH3CH2ONA + H2
