When we repeatedly move a bar magnet in and out of a conducting coil, we will see that there is anninduced potential difference which sets up an induced current in the coil when there is movement in the bar magnet.
This is called electromagnetic induction. Electromagnetic induction takes place either when a coil is moved inside a magnetic field or the magnetic field around the coil is moved.
