Zn + NaOH -------> Zn(OH)2 + Na
when zinc is heated with the base sodium hydroxide, zinc displaces sodium and forms zinc hydroxide and gives out sodium as a result.

hey mate !!

here is your answer !!

here we have talk and find about what happens when zinc granules are heated with Sodium Hydroxide .

we know that when the bases are reacting with salt they are formed hydrogen gas (H2).

here we have one molecules and one compound .like zinc and sodium hydroxide .we denoted or symbolized to zinc (Zn) and sodium hydroxide (NaOH).

now ,

in the reactants sodium hydroxide solution is heated with zinc granules than the product side formed sodium zincate and also hydrogen gas formed .

note :-
solution showed it's a aqueous.

and hydrogen formed in gas state.
reaction like

Zn(s) + 2NaOH(aq)--- ----> Na2ZnO2aq) + H2g)

it's a balanced equations.

the Main products here sodium zincate.

hope it's help you
