Explanation:

1.

Zn + H2SO4 ----》 ZnSO4 + H2 gas liberated

2.

Zn + 2HCL ---》ZNCL2 + H2 gas liberated

3.

2Zn + 2HNO3 ---》2ZnNO3 + H2 gas liberated

4.

Zn + 2NaCl ---》ZnCl2 + Na2

5.

Zn + 2NaOH ---》Zn(OH)2 + 2Na

When zinc granules are treated with dilute solution of H2SO4 , we get Zinc Sulphate and H2 gas

Zn + H2SO4 → ZnSO4 +H2

When zinc granules are treated with dil.HCl, we get Zinc chloride and H2 gas

Zn +2 HCL→ ZnCl2 + H2

Zinc reacts with dil.nitric acid to produce zinc nitrate and Hydrogen

Zn +2 HNO3 → Zn(NO3)2 + H2

Zn + NaCl → No reaction.

As Zinc is less reactive than sodium.Hence it cannot replace sodium from its salt.

Base + Metal → Salt + Hydrogen.

Zinc reacts with sodium hydroxide and forms sodium zincate and Hydrogen.

2NaOH + Zn → Na2ZnO2 + H2
