Ferrous sulphate is green in color.So,when in zinc is added to ferrous sulphate its green color will fade away.This happens because zinc is more reactive than iron ,it will displaces iron and forms zinc sulphate.
chemical equation will be:-
Zn(s)+FeSO4(aq)--->ZnSO4(aq)+Fe(s)
