zinc being more reactive than copper will displace it from copper sulphate solution to form zinc sulphate.

CuSO4 + Zn -----------> ZnSO4 + Cu

(copper (zinc) (zinc (copper)

sulphate) sulphate)

it is a displacement reaction.

in this type of reaction the metal with higher reactivity displaces the metal with less reactivity.

HOPE THIS HELPS..

displacement reaction takes place

Zn + CuSO4 --> ZnSO4 + Cu

displacement recation :

                         reaction in which a more reactve metal replaces a less reactive metal from its salt solution is called displacement reaction

hope this helps
