on adding zinc to CuSO4 solution, zinc displaces copper from copper sulphate & forms zinc sulphate solution. This is indicated by colour change from blue to colourless. CuSO4 solution has a blue colour while ZnSO4 solution is colourless. Zn(s) + CuSO4(aq) -> Cu(s) + ZnSO4 (aq)....

Hope it helps you

When zinc is added to copper sulphate (CUSO4) so, copper is displaced from zinc because zinc is highly reactive then copper and by adding of zinc in copper sulphate of blue colour becomes colourless.

Equation is zn + cuso4 ------- znso4 + cu.
