If a cell is kept in hypertonic solution then due to osmosis(exosmosis) the cell will lose its solvent molecules resulting in shrinking of plasma membrane and cell wall ana called as plasmolysed cell
If a cell is kept in isotonic solution then there is no change in its shape and the cell is termed to be in flacid state
If a cell is kept in hypotonic solution then due to osmosis the solvent particles enter into the cell termed as endosmosis which results in bulging of the cell this state is termed as turgid cell
