➡️ Borax (sodium borate) can react with acids to form boric acid, but usually that is done with strong acids.

➡️ You can react the two under standard conditions, although that may be a bit slow. To increase reaction speed, heat and stir.

on heating borax with ethyl alcohol and concentrated sulphuric acid vapours of triethylborates are produced and when ignited these vapours burn with a green edged flame
