What happrns to solubility if branching increases in alcohol and phrnol?

the solubility decrease with increased in mass because the hydrocarbon part become larger and resists the formation of hydrogen bonds with water molecules .The solubility of isomeric alcohol increases with branching because the surface area of hydrocarbon part decreases with branching.
