Evelyn was a deaf girl. Everyone discouraged her but percussionist Ron Forbes found potential in him and he told him to hear the music not through her ears but some other way. Now Evelyn could hear the notes of higher drum from waist up and lower drum from waist down. When she played xylophone she could feel the notes passing through her fingers. It was all achieved by his strong determination and hard work.
