THEME OF THE POEM THE SEVEN AGES WRITTEN BY WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE

The world is a stage where men and women are merely actors. The prince of poets and king of dramatist- the William Shakespeare projects the idea that a man's life can be divided into seven stages . The present poem The Seven stages is an extract taken from the Shakespeare's play of the name As You Like It

The poet compares this world to a stage of a theatre and all its men and women two actors and actress, they take birth place 7 different roles and by the seven stages of man's life at that of an infant school boy lover , soldier , justice , old Pantaloon and second childishness .

After playing this seven roles and living through the stages of life and apart from this world It Ends the strange and eventful history of his life.
