the challenges for india after independence were:

1) as a result of partition , more than a million of refugees had came into the country from what was now pakistan. these people were to be found homes and jobs.

2)the maharajas and nawabs of the princely states were to be persuaded to join the new nation.

3) a political system had to be develop, which would best serve tho hopes and expectations of the population.
