She ans Nerissa that if everyone would be understanding their life and become rich then chapels would become churches. Everyone would be rich .

Portia told that if to do good is as easy to know what is good then chapels would be churches and poor men's cottages will be prince's palaces. A priest is good who follows his own teachings. She can more easily tel 20 people what is good to follow then be one of the 20 people to follow her own teaching. The mind may frame rules for the body but the heat of desire overpowers such dry laws. The impulse of youth will make one skip the good advice Just as a hare avoids a trap. But this kind of logic won't help her in choosing a husband . According to her the word 'CHOOSE' is very hard for her as she can neither choose the one whom she likes nor refuse the one she dislikes as her wishes in life are controlled by her dead father....
