In poem once upon a time, the poet has forgotten to laugh and smile.
 He expressed that all his inner feelings of happiness and pleasure are died. Now when he fake a smile it is not from heart and there are no emotions attached to it.
 He only smiles to show to the others. In this poem the poet has expressed himself as a snake.
