Hey !!
Here is your answer....
↪whole Poem " Song of rain " is personified.
At first rain is compared with dotted silver thread which are coming from heaven. Here rain is the speaker. It compares itself with beautiful pearls plucked from the crown of Ishtar. Because it increases the beauty of nature.
↪ Then it works as messenger of mercy.
Because it works like midiater between cloud and field to unite them again.
↪ Then poet compares rain with life of man.
As man born, grown up and then dies same way rain births ( water get evaporate ) grown up ( formation of cloud ) and dies ( rain shower ).
↪ Then rain is compared with sigh of sea as it get separated from sea ( evaporation ). It is compared with laughter of field as I when it shower field get nourishment and feel happy
It is also compared as tears of heaven because when it shower it leaves the cloud which are like heaven.
↪ In this poem rain is personified in different ways.
Writer of poem :- Kahlil Gibran.
