The time portrayed here refers to destruction. Because when the time passes, it kills the age, destructs the monuments without any care as they discolor,get tanned, and is found dirty. Time has the power to make the things come to an end, by ruining the things. The poem focuses on the behavior of the time that can change the things around.This poem won't be discolored by malice practices and conduct of the coming age.
