What heat energy is absorbed by object triangle T represents the raise in temperature.what would be triangle T represent if the object loses heat energy?

As ,  

∆ T = T2 - T1  

As heat energy is absorbed, that means T2 gets higher and ∆ T will be positive that shows rise in temperature but in another case when heat energy is lost , T2 gets smaller and difference would be negative that represents loss in temperature .
