Answer: Turgidity in plant cells

When water moves into a plant cell, the vacuole gets bigger, pushing the cell membrane against the cell wall. The force of this increases the turgor pressure within the cell making it firm or turgid . The pressure created by the cell wall stops too much water entering and prevents cell lysis.

The answer is Cell wall, the explanation is following:-

The cell wall is a rigid and turgid outer covering of the cell. It exerts pressure on the cell membrane, when the cell swells up due to hypotonic environment (presence of lot's of water).

When the cell membrane exerts pressure on the cell wall, it exerts some pressure too and let the cell withstand with the environmental conditions by making the cell rigid and turgid. We know that, plants cannot move and they need a much stronger membrane then the plsma membrane to protect them against humidity, infections and other such situations. Therefore, the presence of cell wall let them survive in such harsh situations.
