We can see an object because light from an object can move through space and reach our eyes.
Once light reaches our eyes, signals are sent to our brain and brain deciphers the information in order to detect the appearance, location and movement of the objects we are seeing.
The whole process is not possible if there is absence of light.

when you switch on light. the light goes to object around us and reflects and reaches to our eye so we can see any object . when light is not there the reflection do not happens because light is not present so we can not see any thing
