✒The evidences show that there was no official establishment nor a formal ruling elite in the harappan society. There may be an evidence of priests ruling the society as proved by the statue of priest king in Mohenjodaro.

✒The main characteristics of Harappan (Indus Valley) cities were their layout and buildings. Harappan cities were developed on a precise grid pattern. They were walled off. The buildings and homes in the cities were usually two or three stories in stature, and they were made of bricks that were dried in kilns.
