Messanger ribonucleic acids or mRNA hold the ribosomes together in a polysome. In prokaryotes, ribosomes are attached with the plasma membrane of the cell.

Several ribosomes may attached to a single mRNA and form a chain called polyribosomes or polysomes. So, ribosome is formed up of rRNA and proteins.
