Answer:

           Important hormones

                                      are produce  by gastrointestianl tract

  • Gastrin,
  • Cholecystokinin (CCK),
  • Secretin,
  • Somatostatin,
  • Motilin

GASTRIN

Gastrin is a hormone in the human body, a peptide hormone to be specific.

It is produced and works in human’s gastrointestinal tract(GI tract)/digestive system.

For the stomach/gaster, the gastrin helps in producing the gastric acid by the parietal cell, as for the bowels, gastrin helps in its motility.

CHOLECYSTOKININ

Cholecystokinin: This hormone is a peptide that is produced in the enteroendocrine cells.

Cholecystokinin helps digest fat and protein.

When it is present, digestive enzymes from the pancreas and bile from the gallbladder are released into the duodenum. At the same time it promotessatiety (suppressing hunger feelings).

SECRETIN

This is a hormone that was only discovered in 2007 as an osmoregulator of the kidneys, the hypothalamus and the pituitary gland. Secretin is a 27 polypeptide hormone.

It is secreted by S-cells in the duodenum. I stimulates pancreatic amylase and lipase to work optimally. Pancreatic cells have secretin receptors on their surface.

SOMATOSTATIN

IT IS  a peptide hormone that controls and administers the entire endocrine system. In addition, its production can have an effect on the neurotransmission as well as cell proliferation.

MOTILIN

Motilin participates in controlling the pattern of smooth muscle contractions in the upper gastrointestinal tract.
