Friction is the force acting in the opposite direction of the moving body along the same surface. For instance, if a ball is rolled along a surface, it eventually stops because of friction. It’s disadvantages are that it can produce heat which pose a threat to certain things, and due to friction, a large amount of force is needed to move a large body (ex: machine)
