→ 1/x + 1/3x = 1/24
→ (3 + 1)/3x = 1/24
→ (4/3x) = 1/24
→ 3x = 24 * 4
→ x = 8 * 4
→ x = 32 hours .
hence,
→ Time taken by Henrietta alone to complete the job = x = 32 hours (Ans.)
→ Time taken by Louisse alone to complete the job = 3x = 32 * 3 = 96 hours (Ans.)
