Answer:

The message in the story is that wisdom, humility and honesty are attributes to great ethical behavior and a person who possesses them is bound to be recognized for them in life, sooner or later.

  • What I found challenging and interesting in Shepherd's Treasure is that no matter how much hardworking the Shephard was but he was still poor and no matter how much uneducated he was but he was wise. He broke the stereotype that only educated people can be wise and good with advice.

  • He faced many challenges other than being poor and uneducated because shepherd was appointed as the governor of a small district and he was loved and honoured by the people as his fame reached far and wide then the governors of other provinces grew jealous of him.

  • Even though everyone was aware that he was an honest man but he was still being questioned and judged because of other people's jealousy. The governors were so jealous of him that they poisoned the king’s ears against the new shepherd-governor and they reported that the new governor was unethical, and always held his ill-gotten treasure in an iron chest. So the king ordered him to the palace to see that treasure.
