In the chapter cell structure and function we read abour who found cell, that would be Robert Hooke in 1665, he observed the cells of a cork under a microscope, these cells appeared like a honey comb, next we learnt about cell number, size and shapes in that every organism have different shapes and sizes. Organisms made of more than one cell is known as multicellular organism, the single cell organism is called unicellular organism. shape of cells vary in different cells for example amoeba, amoeba have a false feet known as pseudopodia. Size of cells in living organiam may be as small as a million of meter (micrometre or micron) the smallest cell is bacteria cell which is (0.1 to 0.5 micrometre). the largest cell is in egg of an ostrich which is (170 mm × 130 mm) . each cells form together to form tissues, each tissues made up together to form an organ and finally together we can say it as a system.parts of cell :cell membrane, cytoplasm, nucleus. and finally about plant and Animal cells . plants have cell wall but animal cell does not have cell wall.
