vegetative propagation is a type of reproduction in plants, where a part of the plant is cut and used for generating another plant of the same species.
For example when we need to grow a rose plant, a middle section of the stem is cut. the upper and lower parts left (of the stem) are joint with a florist tape and the middle portion of the stem is burried in soil and thus a new plant rises.
