Budha neither accepted the existence of God nor meant there is no God, He meant what matters if he exists or Not, In both the cases things will happen based on what we does, He was a Son of a King Suddhodana, Budha’s real name is Siddhartha Gautama who got confusion seeing certain people enjoying every wealth and another larger group suffering without the basic necessities and many were killed in the wars for the wealth , to know the reason he was getting around and found that everything happened once the human being started acquiring wealth in order to keep it for themselves, So he left every wealth that he had and started to live in a divine path and Lived below a peepal tree and lived without any wealth, just ate what people gave him , He was an enlightened person or a guru teaching what he has enlightened, he has given many quotes and good habits and taught the reality not a religion or god, he insisted loving the other creatures, living without making others suffer,Non-Violence, No anger, About mind, Reality and a about a lot of things which were actually followed by many of the followers sitting in front of him under the Peepal tree, Later apart from normal people, many kings started following Buddhism, Ashoka was one of them who really understood that following is not enough it should be spreaded all over the world, who has done the same in many countries, apart from Ashoka, Many of Buddhism followers went to various parts of the world in order to spread buddhism which highly insisted Non-Violence, But on the other hand, they need to self defence themselves from the animals and other harmful things while travelling, Some of them in Southern India (Probably Bodhi dharma) created the Self defence Kalari later it is now called as Karate, it can bee seen in the movie Shaolin temple & 7am Arivu, Also they were in need for medicines to get rid of diseases while travelling inside the forests, Probably there comes Ayurveda and so on, Later now in many countries many follow Buddhism and the follow the Non-Violence, but in many it was not accepted because of this (Do Budha believe in God), since this religion doesn’t accepts the existence of god and this found to be out of the other religions logic, hence many of the buddhism followers were been threatened, hurted and the number of followers got decreased in these countries where other religions made their dominance by Violence, that's the story.

Explanation:
Buddhists seek to reach a state of nirvana, following the path of the Buddha, Siddhartha Gautama, who went on a quest for Enlightenment around the sixth century BC. There is no belief in a personal god. Buddhists believe that nothing is fixed or permanent and that change is always possible
