Currently India has only one time zone,it is 5 hours 30 minutes ahead of GMT.Now according to your question India has 29 states so there would be 29 time zones,ok practically not possible but let me highlight to you it's positives.
If this is done then it would address the problem of northeastern states
Because sun rises around 4:30 am in northeast But by the time they start their work it is already 10:30–11 am where sun is high up the sky. Thus the working hours stretch till the evening and Moroever their morning hours are wasted because we have only 1 time zone Tea workers ,labourers demand that they should have a separate time zone.
But you can't justify this point with all the problems that it will cause
India is a country of 1.2 billion people and you have time zones for different states.
(Hope it helps)
