what if I got 40 marks in maths 10 board and 73 in same out of 80....they will be replaced on not?

yes why not because if you're out of your paper will be rechecked 2 times by examiner but if you are in 39 your marks remain stay then you're in 40 and cheif check your exam paper twice and if there is mistake then you have to go 39 or 38 so there is risk to get out off
