Now getting back through ages, our universe was nothing more than a dense space, a space in which no radiations or mass existed. So due to the inflation that physicists theorised,, our universe expanded but because of the singularity formed during big bang we suspect there are other universes in existence. Universe is just a space which holds the existence of matter and energy together. Universe is not materialistic, it won't collide with another like physical objects...But,,there are other ways for universes to interact and interfere with others. Like Eternal inflation , the theory which explains the existence of various universes like bubbles of foam , the only entity that connects two universe is their frequencies of existence,by existence I mean the energy that s universe hold, the more it expands the more radiations are released by the stars and galaxies that are holder inside the space..So when the frequencies of two universes interact the Waves that connect matter and energy are disturbed,,the reason for the existence of wormholes or other fictions, But still if two universes were to collide with each other (speaking in terms of frequency) the very nature of quantum entanglement, existence of matter and energy, the connection with mind and the universe , the distortion in the space-time would all may or may not get disturbed depending on the collision of energy(The connection of existence).

So, the answer is, The fictions may come true.

Answer:

If our universe would have collided with another universe then because of the gravity of the another universe,it would impact matter in our brane, our universe. So the pattern of galaxies would have disrupted.Could be a soft bounce or something much more pronounced.
